The Blacklist on NBC–Another Drama Meets Sarcastically Brilliant Spader

I seriously love James Spader and his new character, Red Reddington in The Blacklist.

My mom and I take an hour out of our Monday nights and reserve it to watch this crime drama on NBC at 10pm.

I freaking love it.

We have always been fans of Spader, having watched The Practice and Boston Legal. He is the perfect actor to master the cynical, dangerous, sarcastic genius that Reddington is.

The rest of the cast is really good too.

The main character, Elizabeth Keen, is played by Megan Boone, who is recognized for her roles in films such as My Bloody Valentine, and Sex and the City 2.

Another main character, Agent Ressler is played by Diego Klattenhoff. He has been in Pacific Rim, and also played Shane Omen in Mean Girls. I instantly recognized him from the short lived TV show Mercy.

One other character, Meera Malik, is played by actress Parminder Nagra. She starred in the film Bend It Like Beckham with Keira Knightley. In television she is known for her role on ER.

A few other notable characters are Harold Cooper, played by Harry Lennix. Lennix has been involved in numerous television shows as well as many  stage productions across the country. Also, playing Keen’s husband Tom is the extremely attractive Ryan Eggold who is known for his part in the CW’s 90210.

If you are a Spader fan, this is a must watch.

Here is an article I read today about how the show has gotten better throughout the first season (SPOILERS).
